I handle chemical purchasing for a specialty water treatment company—about $1.2M in process chemicals each year. Same thing with the Skout's Honor water additive. It's a consumer pet care product sold for pets' water bowls, not an industrial water treatment chemical. Veolia doesn't make it, and any chemical supplier that claims to be a one-stop shop for everything from engine injection kits to pet additives is probably overpromising.
That boundary is exactly why I'd trust a specialist. A good supplier tells you when something is outside their lane—and points you to the right place. I'd rather place a small order with someone who knows their limits than a large one with someone who says yes to everything.
