What does Veolia do, and how can I verify it?

Veolia is often described as a water, waste, and energy management company, but that undersells the chemicals side. What does that mean in practice? You might buy a polymer for sludge dewatering, a biocide for cooling circuits, or a package of analytical services to keep your discharge within permit limits.

  • Compatibility: The coating must be compatible with your water chemistry. A coating fine for neutral pH groundwater may not hold up in chloraminated treated water.

Most buyers focus on price and dry-film thickness. They miss the certification documents. Per FTC guidelines, claims like "food-safe" or "drinking water safe" have to be substantiated with evidence. If a supplier can't or won't provide the approval certificate, that's a red flag. I once flagged a "potable water grade" coating that had an NSF number from a different product series. The vendor said it was "close enough." We didn't proceed.

What does a water methanol injection kit do?

A water methanol injection kit does exactly what the name says: it injects a fine mist of water and methanol into an engine's intake manifold or a turbine's inlet. The liquid evaporates, absorbing heat and cooling the air charge. That lower temperature increases air density, which reduces the risk of engine knock and can boost power. In industrial gas turbines, the same principle is used to cut NOx emissions and to increase output during peak electricity demand.

It's not a "Veolia" product, if that's what you're asking. Veolia doesn't sell injection kits.
